Had a busy day on the truck, replaced the two third row seatbelts with "breakers" belts, but without fraying!!!

Thanks to Rick for his pointers on replacing these. :thumb2

Hussah!!!

Also put some clear lacquer over a small patch that had lifted on the rear bumper to stop the "lift" from spreading.

Spent the afternoon under the back, freeing up the nuts holding the shocks, so that when I replace them later in the year it's an easier job! Would have been easier if the universal joint in my 1/2" socket set hadn't decided to un-assemble itself. Ho-hum.:doh

I have ordered two "spring bumpers" for the back, following the thread the other day I decided that it might be a good idea as the wife does tow 2.5ton once a month! £30 each, not bad! Got to order two bump stops for the front now as they fell off when I poked them.

I am still looking for a un-damaged passenger belt as the one I had lined up has fallen through. GT4x4 breakers want best part of £70!, which they ain't gonna get. So if you have a spare black passenger belt with black fittings from a late model (mine is '05) with two holes in the metal tongue, please let me know!

Good day was had !

:clap

I've got my new spring bumpers arriving soon, I am doing front and rear, and I want as much elbow room as possible when I change them.

I want to jack truck up, axle stand the chassis so that the axle drops away from the chassis so I have more wiggle room. Where do you suggest I put axle stands on the chassis? I'll be doing front and rear, but not at the same time.
