Hi Guys,

was just surfing ebay, and saw a Maverick like mine, same colour, except it had grey bumpers. Now, that got me thinking, what colour should my bumpers be, black, or grey??

I have a project this year to tidy them up, but i dont want to go making them black, if they are supposed to be grey!

the base vehicles had dark grey but theres no reason why you can't use an etching undercoat and spray them silver like the posher versions LOL

hmm..thanks for the replies chaps. really not sure what to do. the bumpers have definately either been painted, or are thick with wax. Its slowly starting to come off, and you can see the much lighter grey underneath, I was hoping to paint them or something...

good rub down with meths or white spirits should take em back to scratch if its wax or other cleaning products :thumb2

If its peanut butter maybe find a small unpopular child or pet monkey to lick them clean :thumb2

ahhh, white spirits will be ok?? hmm...what about the paint work if I splash a bit over?

never had a problem other than it sometimes leaves a greasy mark that needs washing off :thumb2 meths may affect stick on trim and badges. It also shifted some dodgy varnish (that i wanted leaving :doh ) on my old seat toledo paintwork

white spirit my fave for ad hoc for degreasing and cleaning. Not sure the environment agency would agree :augie:augie
