Bulging Battery

I have a leasure battery rigged up as a second battery in my truck. I noticed the other day voltage had dropped down to 10v and then dropped to 9v when I was running a pair of LED work lights. I removed the battery today to replace the K&N filter with a stock filter and ducting. Whilst battery was on the floor the light caught it so looked closer. The two ends of the battery are bulging out. I’m guessing this isn’t normal so the battery is probably goosed, am I right?

Yep goosed, but good for scrap recycling, Oh and it is a start battery, Rick

A bit brassed off really as it’s not that old.

How much are old batteries fetching these days?

not sure as a one off as I take many on a scrap run, but price at the mo is around £550 a tonne, Rick

i have a lot to take even 220a ones but i have no photo id only disabled blue badge and scrappy wont accept that so need to get someone to do it for me but they pay out with ck now.
