Hello,

it seems that some bulbs are done. Some of the lights in the Heater/Fan controls seems to be dark and also some of the Window switches in the console behind the handbrake are dark (but I'm not sure if the switches should light at all).

Has anybody replaced the bulbs in the Heater/Fan section and can advice on socket type? I would like to get them in advance.

Can someone confirm that the window switches should light? If so, is it possible to replace the bulbs inside?

I have a 97 Maverick (round headlights)

Thanks in advance,
Joerg

Hi Joerg
I have a 97 as well, window switches are not backlighted as far as I know.
Heating controls definitively are lighted on mine.

As far as I remember on my 99 T2 there is only one bulb for the heater controls, and is right in the centre, and is one if those wedge bulbs like used in front side lights and map reading lights.

Centre console again in mine has bulbs, but they are the sort of bulb that has long wires out the bottom and are not replaceable... unless you are handy with the soldering iron. I just replaced the ones on Jiggly with 3mm blue LED's and resistors.

Window switches should be lit, & if I remember right there is 1 wedge bulb for heater panel, it would be unusual for all the window switch lights to be out as each switch has its own light, unless they got sudden over load :nenau . or the light feed is seperate.

New switch on some models unless you can solder one in.

On my r3mR Terrano most of the switches had none replaceable bulbs though a few did have a capless type.
