Anyone know the rules now on building your own trailer. Thinking of maybe finding a existing small trailer axle and going from there.

It's for a motorbike or two.

I seem to recall if you made it looks old enough when it was ok to build them you can get away with it.

not heard of any rules just built a 4x3 box trailer for camping out of a old one i got off ebay also built a skeleton trailer for my sons quad as long as they look ok go for it:thumbs
sent you pm

think new trailers from a certain date need a build plate detailing
the date built, and gross weight etc.

older trailers wont have such a plate so maybe go for a rustic? lol
look.

I've just restored a lovely old trailer about 5x3 scrapped the mini
wheels and gone for brand new 8" 4plys, £22 each or so.

added a secondary coupling, thru wired so my existing trailer light
board can be used.

mine was built by a coach builder when worked for former municipal
bus company, it has a live leaf sprung over axle and despite the 8"
wheels reckon could follow terrano anywhere.
