If you want quiet muds go for Khumo KL71s about the same price possibly less if you shop around. Not used em myself but friends have got them and lots of rave reviews.

Maxxis Buckshot are just another copy of the BFG MT - BFG have launched a replacent in the USA but notavailbale over here yet. That siad I've got Insa Turbo Dakars which are another BFG copy, they work great but do howl a bit on the road.

buckshot mudders

have had a set on since december of last year:thumbs
good off road and they seem to be wearing o.k on road.
a bit noisy but its something you have to put up with if you go for mud tyres.
had a set of kl71's on prior to these and i would'nt go back to them as i found the road handling in the wet to be a bit dodgey.
good choice of tyre and not too bad a price if you shop around.

Were the Kumhos 31s as well Elty? How bad was it, as I was thinking about getting a set....

no the khumo,s where 235/75/15's.they are really good off road but they seemed a bit slippy on wet tarmac.
i nearly bought them in 31"then i saw the maxxis mudders for about £20 a tyre cheaper so i went for them.
