For those interested this is a mirror repair when the arm gets knocked off and it dangles on the wire, just stick a coach bolt in it with two nut to lock, Advantages= can still swivel it in/out and as good as the original fitting, Disadvantages = you lose the electrics, but as it is knackered anyway I see no loss, pics taken without the cover on for clarity, it needs to be assembled with the cover on, and the glass just pulls off, it has 4 plastic clips, I used a letter opener slid in and twisted near the centre, you have to pull the glass quite hard to get the initial gap but it works, Rick

it survived Slindon today hitting many trees and getting folded in repeatedly:thumbs Rick

Well done... so the Mirror survived, what about half shafts, door reinforcements, wishbones, and torsion bars?:lol

outer NS shaft was fooked in half an hour, door sliders great, torsion bars lowered a little as felt sure over doing them done the top wishbone, so no problems there, but did smash the snorkel rolling into a bank, but all minor stuff, oh and alternator bearings are complaining from muddy water ingress, rear brakes totally out of adjustment again, Slindon mud is very aggressive, but did recover a green oval (twice) once from deep mud where others broke two straps snatching, and second time winched him down from a steep rutted bank as he had one rear wheel in the air and a smashed front diff, hope to have vid of this in a day or so as not my camera, Rick
