OK so sorted the front drive shaft, and water damaged wheel bearings, now to do the smashed snorkel (well it was only RW down pipe) and now the bally winch alternator is not charging, looks like it is full of mud so expect brushes stuck again, got a new set but got to go Hastings for it tomoz pain in the arse on a Saturday take all of 1.5 hours round trip as they repairing a railway bridge on the 259 so major diversions, but will be at Boxgrove on Sunday for another day out, will try and take some pics and maybe vids, Rick

Ya love it really ;)

Good luck for Sunday

yea you are right, enjoy the day out but the prep beforehand is tiresome, could not get brush/regulator for 90 amp alternator so pinched the 65 amp one from old off roader cannibalised some brackets and it is working, had to change the rear brake shoes as completely worn out, and now my co driver has been called in to work, so if anyone wants to join me for a ride shout now, Rick

broke another shaft

Had an eventful day first the transit broke down 3 miles from the site, clutch fulcrum arm broke, so as I can drive with no clutch and there were no other takers I took it the rest of the way, only had to start it in first twice, then the range rover v8 did a rear shaft then one of the quads wont run no more and finally I did my other front shaft, have come to the conclusion that diesel shafts are made of chocolate as my petrol had no bother even with the same locked diff and at the speeds I am going there is no difference in the torque, any way when I change this one I will have two petrol shafts fitted, watch this space, Rick
