came to a bit that was too high and managed to pull the front gaurd off lol also scraped the rear door on the same part

managed to push the number plate off its clips and bend the tow bar electrics and also pulled the wiring out from underneath

and did you really need the golf brolly ?

well since i got soaked on the sept lane day i have carried the brolly in the car lol

so got to straighten and reattach the guard next

i was thinking about the bumper idea earlier lol, also word of advice dont have a towing stabilizer fitted all it does all day is catch on the bloody ground lol

have thought about lifting it 2" as well but didnt know how that would work with the trailer :nenau

Wouldnt of thought it would make much difference :nenau

Did the kids enjoy themselves :D

when it was home time they kept saying can we not go down a hill again and could we not go through the deep water befor we go home lol

You look to of had a great day:clap

I haven't been off road or laning for ages but when I did my towbar sockets did the same every time. I've since moved them on to the bumper too and it's loads better.

Jim

just take the kids with you or dont they like that sort of thing lol

def move electrics, it was my plan when i had a terrano though it was a mk2 with
squarer cut out on bumper and would put them on 'at back of step'.

yours being mk1 and round cut out cut put them on outside face of bumper, others
have mounted on body aabove bumper below brake light though your trailer cable
might need an extension then.

if you feel towbar is still a plough many take them off, 4 or 6 bolts i believe as there
are decent eyes revealed in process, perhaps add a bridle between them to even
out any recovery strain.

another option i considered was a receiver style bar, custom built, with a jaw
for off roading at chassis height as a slide in, and a drop plate for road towing
slide in., rear plate wants moving then too as receiver would be in middle of plate
effectively, move to spare or door...(search tow receivers on ebay/google pix
as big in states!)

atleast with troll all i need to do is move sockets, if want can take towbar off as
theres a chunky recovery hoop mounted above my step bumper.

great pix btw, where is briercliffe and how often.

does sound like kirton is good place for a meet
last pay n play i did was late great langdale, with
its structured routes, believe frickly is more like
that.

Briercliffe is just outside Burnley, Lancs. They have a play day once a month and several clubs hire it during the other weeks for trials etc. Cracking site! :thumb2
