Next question..........
While looking for shocks n stuff I found ref to Breather kits!
I guess they're to do with axle/diffs or something, but what for?
Do I need them for deep water?

Stop the water getting into the diffs and gearbox's, kinda the same way as a snorkel is used for the engine

Extends the breathers from your axels/gearbox up into the bodt work.

All you need is the right Diameter tubeing.

Ah ha cool, I'll get some plastic pipe then I guess. Is it just the rear diff transfer box and gearbox?
I've not looked yet but is it obvious where these pipes should fit on?

and front diff....

I`ve not looked either but would say so, they were obvious on the isuzus..

IIRC the g/box & front diff are vented into the engine bay quiet high up but am going to check both of these pipes to make sure it has'nt split etc over the years  The rear axle breather pipe from what I can see vents around the top of the fuel tank so will be replacing the pipe so it'll vent under the bonnet like the others

All mine vent well up, IMHO I don't think you need to extend te breathers unless you have a snorkel - Nissan have already provided us with partially eextended reathers, its just that solihull outfit that fit short breathers.

where in the engin bay do thay show them selves?

have they got a top to them, or just open, would making them open down help at all or do they suck air in a little?

My 2001 (sniff) didn't have an extended breather on the rear axle, so I had to mod this to do the job. Gearbox, transfer box, & front diff all vent into engine bay but these can be easily extended further up.
