had a real laugh today my mate has a new animal L200, he hooked on the trailer and loaded up in the field, £14,000 paid, stuck spinning digging deeper, my £3000 terrano 11 and a chain puleed the animal the trailer and the load out with ease, and i started in the same field as he did. he was not happy.:lol

i have an abs light on mechanis says it is not a sensor but a relay, does anyone know where the relay is and is it an easy fix

Lucky man having such fun with that poor chap who got stuck :naughty
I thought the relay's were the relay switches, a bit like large fuses. If that's what is meant then they are under the bonnett in the small black rectangular plastic box (think its on the drivers side in mine). Should be marked on the box which one is for the ABS. I know that when I pulled out the ABS relay switch/fuse out when testing the abs the abs light came on and stayed on until I put the relay / fuse back in. If you have the owners manual it should also show which is the the one for abs. If your abs light is on it probably means your abs is not working so be careful. There can be a huge difference between severe braking with the abs and without if you're not expecting it.

Try this link to an online manual http://bebrs.pie-dabas.net/Webs/Terrano/R20/fwd.pdf

However normally when the ABS causes problems it's the NSF Sensor wire that has broken. Mine broke just where it is fastened to the suspension arm with a thick plastic sleave. Mine been older than yours the wire inside coroded so took some clever soldering. Ran new wires from the connector in the engine bay on the ns inner wing and now works perfect.
