Hi guys, whilst the truck is up in the air at the front I thought that I might as well replace the pads and give it a good clean.

So the caliper and cradle are crusty so thought that I might as well clean them off and give them a paint. What sort of paint can I use on them?

Also although not damaged the rubber covers on the sliders have seen better days. Is it possible to get replacements?

Cheers

pins and rubbers from brake parts supastore, and hammerite should be OK on the calipers as they should not get too hot, Rick

Cheers Rick, black hammerite it is then thanks. Milners want 30 odd quid for pins and rubbers so might give it a miss for a while or am I better getting new?

I use hammerite to paint my brakes & never had any problems with it even on my old hot hatches where I warped a few disc's the paint was fine plus it's a lot cheaper than the caliper paints you can buy:augie

brake partssupastore , much cheaper than that but there are different pin diameters and lengths so check that out first, Rick

Links would be great :thumb2

I'd like to replace mine at some point as my drivers side rubbers are a bit knackered since the last session with the gas torch :doh
