Fell out of bed early on Saturday, and thought "I'll have a look at those brakes ! "

Every now and again, they had been pulling to the left, and the OSF wheel would get really hot. I would also get a rumble at 70mph and over.

I put the Mav on stands and investigation found that the pads were really low, and the calipers looked like they had been fitted to The Mary Rose. One of the pistons on the OSF caliper had seized, and one of the sliders on the NSF pad carrier had seized. My Brother drove down this morning from Warwickshire to lend a hand, (top bloke  ), and we fitted new pads and calipers, replaced the brake fluid and bled the system. The discs were fine.

While on the drive, I finally got around to changing the oil and filter. It took us nearly 2 hours to get the old filter off, as some muppet had it far too tight, .

They're still bedding in, but the Mav drives like a new truck now, well worth the time, effort and money. The steering feels noticably lighter, and I can actually steer when braking ! Have just got to get the castor / camber / tracking set up properly now before I get my new wheels and tyres sorted.

Cheers Bruv !!!
