I've been told these will need doing for the MOT. Couple of Qs.

Are there any 'fitment details' i.e. different manufacturers user on vehicles so you have to know which one you are buying for. Online parts shop suggests not.

How bad a job is it?

GSF currently have 60% off so could get 'GSF premium' disks and pads all for about £60

Set of front discs and pads is a great price £48 inc vat
All the 2.7 diesels are the same.

I fitted a set of front discs and pads and it wold have been no problem if I hadn't sheared a bolt off trying to free one of the sliding caliper rods. But someone on here sold me a replacement part and I was straight back on the road.
So if you have to do that dont hurry, and leave it with plus gas overnight or something.

but apart from that issue i was all easy and straightforward.

I won't go into a full on meltdown mode about why I don't use Milner Off Road anymore. All I'm going to say is I've had very very bad experiences with them :doh

From parts that don't fit, to cheap cheap cheap copies of parts and even sending me parts that bear no significance to what I've actually ordered :doh

I rate Brembo I have them on our SL cheaper than MB parts, the same period manufacturer /OEM supplier to MB.

Banshee is totally correct about the supplier he no longer uses, I’ve had a bad experience too with poor quality parts.

The job isn’t too bad but the hub assembly has to come apart as the disks fit from the back but are bolted from the outside face of the hubs between wheel studs. As said sliders can be a pain too.

I’ve found that cheaper pads tend to squeak especially when warm.

As well as the squeak you can get a really "Hard" pedal or "Soft" feel depending on the friction materials used.
