Box Section sills

Has anyone got any pictures of chopping out the sills and replacing with box section? Wouldn't mind having a go at it or if anyone here is good at welding and would like paying to do it for/with me get in touch....

I fancy doing it too, but haven't had the time to cut mine apart yet :doh

Thick box section mild steel is quite cheap, so why didn't Nissan use this method in the first place rather than the triple panel multi section sills ? :nenau

To make it look nice I guess.

So if you use box section, seal the ends and say pressure test it, there should be no need to put drain holes in. :thumb2

Depends how good the welding is though
