Hi guys, advice please.
I'm on the hunt for an affordable boost controller:)
Any ideas and why please.
I've had a look at Apexi and dont think I can warrant the cost and seen some basic twist the knob ones for a few squid:augie
I await your collective wisdom:thumbs

i have one of the alloy adjustable boost controllers in my escort, they seem to work ok, but the threads are a bit dodgy, basicly you get what one pays for, :doh:lol

Dont bother :doh

Er why?
How can I stop over powering the clutch? I've been told it will spin over 170 bhp! So it's better to let the boost up in stages, if you see what I mean.
I've now got a stripped out interior and loads of power going on next week.So less body weight too:thumbs(well a bit)

As I said previously, you'll only get clutch slip at max torque- about 2000rpm, with the T28 and plenty of fuel.

You can adjust your boost down across the board via the wastegate rod if it becomes a problem, and then consider further mods after.

The 3.0 litre clutch and cover are a direct swap on the 2.7 having machined the flywheel slightly, and so far, seems to be holding up to what I am putting through it!

What did you have to do to the flywheel?

2.7 clutch disc is slightly smaller diameter and sits in a recess. The recess needs its diameter increased so the 3.0 disc will fit. Pressure plates are interchangeable. :)
