I was driving along today and the bonnet catch popped open  It held on the secondary catch and I pulled over wiggled the release lever a bit, had a look at the workings and closed it again and it stayed shut.

Never had this happen in a fair few years of T2 driving in several different T2's any ideas why? :nenau

Was it down properly? No way to tell now but you'll drive a bit slower for while cos it's scary when that sort of thing happens. David.

Give the catch a bit of 3in1 oil as it may be a bit sticky, it amazes me how many vehicles I see with the bonnet half open, you flash people to try and warn them, but most just carry on

Well, I thought it was closed properly! thing is I haven't opened it for weeks and have done a bout 500 miles since so surely it would have popped before? I will give it all a good squirt tomorrow :thumb2

Just done it now, jiggled the handle squirted everything and opened and shut it a few times. All seems fine, a bit paranoid after Makeitfit's bonnet flipping incident

he forgot to stick his bonnet pins in though :lol
