hi guys,

I am thinking about taking the Terrano in to get some body work sorted. The nearside rear door/arch are dented, so I want that sorting, and I reversed into a large concrete column thus pushing the spare wheel and door inwards a bit.

Anyone got any ideas of the sort of costs involved with the door repair:

also, I want to replace the rear bumper as mine is too distorted, anyone got one for sale ideally in my colour?

:bow

Well, Alex has a set of bumpers :augie

As for the bodywork, I would try and get a good 2nd hand door and have it sprayed your colour, as the costs add up when dents and damage have to be removed.
That just leaves the arch.

hmm..i did think of that but then I thought maybe the cost of the door plus the cost of the re-spray would be greater than the cost of the repair! I will certainly check it out though and get some quotes!

as for Alex, I will ask him!:thumbs

Theres a smart repairer that does spraying at your house just down the road from me. Hes cheap and does a reasonable job, never be as good as a body shop spray booth but not bad for his prices. Let me know if you are interested and i will get his number for you.

oh ok, but does he do the repair?

My bumper has a scuffing on the nearside although I painted it back.

It's still around if you need it.

As for the dor, there are people that remove dents (we have a guy that does 45+vat per dent) without removing paint, but obv you would need painting too. Chances are they would need to blend in to the surrounding panels, may be a little costly
