Im really wanting to do a 2.5 body lift on my truck, just want to know if the insurance woold be happy tho:rolleyes: that's also the reason I've not fitted a intercooler yet

any mods you do will be seen by the insurance people that YOU are after something more than the standard motor can offer and will jack the cost accordingly, it is a sad fact of life, so stay standard for a few years till you prove yourself to them, unless you have oodles of dosh, in which case it will not matter, Rick

also remember a lift of that height and you have to mod the transfer lever or it won't go into 4L

What ever you do DONT MOD IT AND NOT TELL THEM. You will regret it for years if they find out. Paying a few £'s extra to be fully road legal now is much better then being banned from insurance for undisclosed modifercations.

Even changing the tyres from 235/75/15 over to 265/75/15 will need to be notified. You can change from 235/75/15 to 235/75/16 as the truck is made with both and may not alter the cost, but still tell them. :thumbs

Christ there tight with their vehicle mods:eek: how to boy racers get away with putting a chimney pots on the Back and stupid body kits?

they either don't tell them or have specialist insurance...

Most normal everyday insurance companies are funny even about 2 battery setups. They probably won't know what a body lift and won't insure them.

Only way to find out is rining your insurance.
Ring before you even contemplate the mod. Or try a quote from adrian flux, They do specialist 4x4 insurance with mods.

I can do basicly any mod to mine bar power mods, even then there are ways around it saying its for better economy. :naughty

Also I have read alot when you get older the modded 4x4 insurance is cheaper than a normal car.

im to young to go with af according to Steve

Ring them up and see, But probably will be the case.

otherwise I doubt you will be able to get a modded vehicle on your own insurance. I am having trouble, Adrian flux seem to the be only one decently priced.

Sureterm you need to be 25+ for modded 4x4
Lancaster is the same too.
