Could one be used to increase boost safely on a 2.7 TDI, perhaps in conjunction with an incar boost gauge ?

Boost gauge yes

Just wind your actuator up :naughty :sly :augie :thumbs

Don't go past 15psi

Can I increase fuel easily ? Or is it only possible with a remap ?

TDI btw

By all means put a guage on it and ensure you have stock boost of 12-13psi, which is ample for a T2, even one with a tunit type box.

Asking for too much boost will actually reduce power, as turbo drive pressure rapidly rises and effectively is like trying to breath out through a blocked nose.

If you've got that level of boost and a healthy MAF, you'll be doing as well as you can.

Timbo, I've fitted a bigger( surface area) intercooler and 63mm hoses off the turbo, which has been modded to bigger outlet. Also straight through 2 1/2" exhaust from turbo back, and very short at that, with empty box, so as near as poss no back pressure on the turbo. Can I up the boost with the tunit and lpg :naughty
