Strange, I've never had any luck with Autotrader, but I've sold 3 vehicles in the last couple of years on eBay, two went for more than I expected, third, a Buy-It-Now, had five people on the first day saying they wanted to buy it, went on the second day to someone who hadn't even seen it!

I used e-bay to sell my Yamaha XJ 900 and found a local buyer who bought it on viewing so I ended the listing and paid a modest insertion fee.

I think the trick with e-bay is to ensure any bidders have established history and make it clear in the listing that a deposit is required if bidder has not viewed the vehicle. This cuts out the daydreamers and timewasters.

Last expensive vehicle I sold was in Exchange & Mart.

Old banger I sold in the local 'Admag'.

my truck came from autotrader, if i didn't buy it, some polish guys were gonna, then ship the poor thing off to poland:eek:

hope you have luck selling it mate:thumbs
