And I thought you were going to post about big engined snow ploughs. When I were a kid, we always knew when the snow was getting deep when the Big Mack was out and about.

My mum has some photos of this very plough trying to clear the road in the early '80's, when it reversed back to take a run at the snow, all we could see was the orange light on top, when they smashed it into the snow wall, all you could see was the balls of snow being pushed up and out of the way.

Was the same day we first ever saw a snow blower on the roads, those were the days when we had real winters.
 
Was BIG MAC stood behind you at the time??????
