Lift springs arrived today :D

Planning to fit them at the weekend. What are folks thoughts on the best way to change them over?

Interested to hear the opinions :thumb2

I have spring compressors.

Never had the joy of changing springs on a 4x4 but going off what has been said about the T2 undoing the shock & poss the ARB on the side your replacing might allow the axle to drop down enough to pull out the old spring & slot in the new with axle stand supporting the chassis

I personally would just drop the axle a bit, remove shocks and panhard rod one one side.

What are you doing with your old springs rob?

Assuming you've gone +2 then the back is a doddle .As said, drop shocks and one end of the pan hard , bingo. Be careful of the flexi brake pipes though , they're not that long.
Front is a bit more of a struggle as the old springs won't fall out. A long pole will be needed just to help things along :thumbs Again, mind the flexi and the axle breather :thumbs

On my terrano I took off the ARB, disconnected the shocks, jacked the back end up under the diff.Took both wheels off,put some heavy duty axle stands under the back end of the chassis as high as they would go then let the jack down until the hubs touch the floor.
Old standard springs fell out but had to compress the new longer ones a bit to get them in.

Ah yes ARB , I remember them, just :lol
Sorry, yes if you have them still, undo that too :doh

Hold onto them for me, Might work well with my swb. Well the fronts at least.

Will do bud :thumbs

They should fit as Patrolman put Pedders Y61 lift springs into his Y60 so they obviously use the same or similar fitment. The rears especially should give you a fair lift given you're traybacking your Trol :D

rears may be too stiff, but willing to try for free.

Ideally I want it to be as low as possible, So will trim front arch area for tyres. 2" if I can't trim enough or feel I can get more flex from the lift

They'd either be binned or placed in a corner of the shed to gather dust so you're welcome to them bud :thumb2
