Well took the advice of a few people and stripped the fuel pump to check the Banjo filter to see if it was blocked up.........NO BANJO, so back to Sq1 again.

Still got the juddering at low revs and now out of ideas, going to get it booked in to a diesel tec and see if they can work out whats up with it as i now have no idea whats causing it.

Hope its going to be ok for tomorrow up Chesterfield :augie

If I get a slight judder or hesitation on any vehicle, I usually give it a good dose of red X.

That plus a new supplier of fuel for the next couple of fill ups usually sorts it.

Has it been doing it long?
Have you done any work on anything prior to the judder, ie disturbed something?

Have you changed your fuel supplier, and say added more bio fuel without knowing it?

You could try a 1/2 tank full of high performance diesel from shell... is it optimax or something...... :nenau

I think it may be fuel related... gunge, which can affect the pump or injectors or even air getting in.
Have you tried to drain any water out of the fuel filter, drain some into a clear ( empty ) jam jar, leave it a while and you may see water at the bottom.

Just a thought, and a topic for further discussion.....

So this is why im now starting to give up. but to be honest its not as bad as it used to be, it got a lot better after the filter change.

have you checked the fuel filter is housed properly? could be letting air in

To be honest, NO. But it was doing this before i changed it, thats why i did it.

But i guess they could both of been mounted wrong, worth checking again i guess.

the little hand primer pump also fails and lets in air try bypassing the fuel filter and c if that helps if so its the filter letting in air from either the fuel filter (make sure u use good 1s i.e fram) or the little primer pump:thumbs

I fitted a "cheap" one once, air was getting in past the seal, and there were clouds of white smoke and rough running.

I threw out the "Cheap" filter and bought an "expensive" one from a Nissan dealer. Sorted. :thumb2

Clearly there are some good cheap fuel filters about, but how many do you need to buy to find a good one. :nenau
