Hi guys, I need a couple of batteries for my mistral, writting on them is in Japanese so dont know the A/H, anyone help !.

John.

i had same problem so bought an optima red top from these people they do alsorts batterys the terminals on mine were wrong way round for most batteries an nobody could match battery from dimensions of old one!

i bought a battery from local car part place £84.00 roughly the same dimensions and 110 amp use a universal fitting bracket because my mistral on has always been missing.

no problems

its the amprating thats important

Went back to the auto electrical garage where the batteries were tested and got 2 fitted for £90. One was the same size as my own but other was smaller.
The big one is 70A/H 95 amps, the smaller does'nt say but I was told it had a bigger capacity.

Motor is going ok for now.

Hi Bibio (or anyone else), did your (or anyone elses) Mistral have two batteries as standard? I'm assuming that they are either side behind the headlamps. If this is the case does anyone know where there is one of these breaking as I would love to get the proper battery tray for the N/S as I want to fit a second battery in mine and it's this that is holding me back.

Mine hasn't & I have never seen a Nissan Mistral with 2 batteries in it, and can't work out why they would have 2 batteries.

BiBio is your a Terrano or a Mistral ?

two batteries of unequal amperages, 8O
that aint right, one batt is going to suffer and i think it's gonna be the less powerfull one, don't reckon much of your suppliers.
ssteve 8O

Surely it depends upon how they are wired using the correct split charge system as the supplementary battery should be isolated whilst the starter is cranking the engine over?
Hey Bibio what can you tell us about the wiring.
