Well the battery on the Santa Fe is about had it so today shelled out for a Varta replacement.

Its not a bad advert for Hyundai that the original battery on my 04 plate motor has lasted this long.
Varta E23 has a 4 year warranty so that should just about outlast our planned ownership of the Santa FE.

The old battery has done well:thumb2 my Dad has just had to replace the factory fitted exhaust on his 52 plate Astra:eek: it's high mileage at just over 30K:lol

Yup, we see some of the old skool jags coming in with original batteries still going strong, I think 12 years was the record I saw. But the newer ones don't seem to be as good. You'll be lucky to get the same again for a similar battery.

Varta I give the highest rating to as I have had mine for four and a half years. Can't find a bill for a new one in the docs that came with the truck ( 02 plate ). Loads had been done on it, new ecu, stainless exhaust, tyres etc.
Had the alt belt come off recently and I ran it for three days until the battery would not work the hazards. New belt and charge up and were ok again. This was four weeks ago.
Varta next time for me. David.
