Balls - how big??

Another wee job on the horizon, blocking up the EGR valve tube thingy, what sort of size ball bearing is needed and any suggestions where I may find one?

maybe wrong but i thought you had to use a flat piece of plate

Looking at the vacuum hose that is used to activate the mechanism (at least that's what I think it does!) 'tis in a workshop download somewhere.

Yup, that's the one - now how big is a small ball bearing? don't want to use one that can get sucked into the system somehow!

Equally, don't want to make the job as hard as shoving an elephant up stairs, plus I don't have many ball bearings floating about so I need to know what size to go and scrounge of people.

I just posted a video on how to Blank it off. If you do the ball bearing tip the valve can still stick open. If you blank it off it wont matter. Took me about 4 hours all in to do the fix.

Very timely that was too Kamsin! I thought I'd try the 5 minute fix first as I'm lazy, and my troubles really started after a fuel filter change so going to redo that first off if the weather behaves this weekend.
