Hi Guys after a bit of advise. The back wash (squirter) has stopped working, thought it might have been frozen... but hasn't improved even after things have returned to normal here...

so after advise really... where would you start... and yes there is water in the tank in the front.... the fronts are working fine and when you go to activate the back you can hear the motor.... so i'm assuming a blockage... but how do you go about clearing it when its in the back door?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

have you tried poking a needle down the orifice (and on the washer jet:eek:), failing that, you just whip off the door card, remove the plastic water pipe, operate the doings and see if anything ejaculates...if it does then its the jet, if it doesn't then at least you know its further back somewhere...mind you, just thought, isn't the pipe under the rooflining somewhere...? forget the door card then

i think, where the pipe passes from body to door is a week spot, see if thats all wet, could be all wet by the lights in the side.

or just frozen!

The pipe runs along the floor RH side of driver then passes across the back under the back seats to the other side and then up to the door hinge.
Good luck:D

I'm sure I remember a few old threads about this. Where the pipe passes from the car body to tailgate there is a non return valve that gets blocked. It's either just inside the car or just inside the tailgate but can't remember which.

Thanks all, just finished night shift and will give it a go when i get up...:thumb2

you might find what you need, valve and number of pumps in the manual...

There is a junction in the back door, that appears to be prone to popping off when the jet is blocked/frozen.....It is apparant by the water dripping out of rear door base.....as mine did.:doh
It is an easy fix.:clap

Hi.
Had same problem and finished up squirting WD40 into the little hole in the jet via the little red tube which comes with the can. Got to press it firmly against the jet. Suppose you could call it "backwashing"
Sounds too simple to be true but it worked and all is still well a year later.
Good luck.

A bit easier/cleaner to use one of the syringes (without needle) that come with ink refill kits, fill syringe with water and off you go.

Mine doesn't work either.

After a visit to Knowsley Safari Park and one of the Baboons took a liking to it. :doh

All working again cheers...... wd40 done the trick....

Thanks again..
