Just came back from a 2 week holiday in the USA and Canada (East coast, Baltimore, New York, Toronto).

Very nice - Nissans all over the place, but mostly models I've never seen before.

But what struck me most: a very large part of the typical US trucks (Ford F150 and similar pickups) had major rust problems, even the recent ones.

Is that caused by bad rustproofing, salt on the roads, or what? Never seen so many rusted trucks. And I mean proper tin worm infestation, not some spots here and there: missing wheel arches, doors with rust holes, etc...

Nope, no poutine. Though it looks good :)
Lots of burgers though, generally had excellent food throughout the States and Canada.

They don't use salt on their roads:thumb2 i'm on a US forum & the guy's who live near the coast always get hit hard with rust prob the salty air from the sea blowing in but those who live more central don't have any real problems unless they get paint peeling on their bonnets from stone chips & the heat from the sun which I saw a lot of when I was in Florida but the bare metal only had the slightest of surface rust some were even shiny metal
