I got a basically free car for my daughter to drive while I get her broken one fixed :banghead:banghead:banghead
Its an old MkI Renault Clio 1.4 automatic. But it has an intermittent problem and I wonder if anyone has any related knowledge.....
Turn key to 'live'position and all is fine, fuel gauge comes up, lights work etc.., battery seems fine. But turn to 'start' and it all goes to poo. Engine will start but fuel gauge plumments to zero, engine hunts for a few seconds then dies. Reversing lights are stuck on in all gears but PARK, so am suspecting a gearbox sensor of some kind but anyone any ideas what/where/how before I torch the bloody thing! :augie
