Cheers

all i know is you fill it through the dipstick ..... i think from memory it takes about 8 litres , yes there is a filter thingie ( technical term ) ..... but solarman 216 ( rick ) is the man to ask ... he did my gearbox :thumb2:clap

Ok cheers briggie i think i may have enough fluid to do it then just have to try and get a filter :thumb2,any idea how much the rear diff takes?

the filter is a mesh one , you just clean it .... dunno about the diff oil , but use only genuine lsd oil .... rick is the one to ask

there isnt a lot rick and swifty dont know about mistral gearboxes after mending mine :thumb2

Okdokey this will be the next job i think,i have comma lsd oil for the rear diff and normal diff oil for the front just havent got round to doing it yet :doh its one of those jobs i keep putting off!

Hi mate Briggie gave me a nudge, I have a bad memory so cannot say how much oil you need but it will be in the manuals section, do not jack it up as you will not drain it all, you cannot drain what is in the fluid flywheel anyway, there is enough space for most people to lay under and pull the drain plug, but do it hot after a run, all the crap will be in suspension and come out with the oil, not sure about the filter, LSD oil amount depends on the Diff if mounted from the front it takes lots more than if it is mounted from the rear, from the rear it only takes about 1.7 ltrs front takes around 3 but could be wrong, Rick

Thanks guys your a great help cheers :thumb2 will let you know how i get on cheers.
