hi lads. can anyone tell me if theres a filter for the auto gearbox on a mistral 2.7td. i changed the oil and been told theres a filter but buggered if i can find one

Have an auto and not aware of such a thing....can't imagine why it would when the oil doesn't circulate the way it does inside an engine, it just sits there effectively, but worth checking the manual link....

Yes there is, but the sump needs to come off to access it. You can wash them out in petrol / thinners etc.

Not a quick job. You will need to loosen and slide out the cross member thingy to undo the bolts on the sump.

Drop the sum and look up into the gear box and you will see the filter. I dont know how much they are but I removed mine and split it apart to clean and rebuilt it. An easy job just not a quick job.

Make sure you get the right filter as there is apparently 2 types ones shorter than the other and you need the longer one apparently
