Hi guys :thumb2

Right, with my very limited experience and what and who I have to hand, I am going to get some coil spacers. I know there are better ways and cheaper wys and different mods but this is temporarily what i fancy. Had the same setup on me old fronty and she did devils pit fine. :D

Question is please how big a spacer can i bung in there? These guys do up to 75mm... I'll be dead honest... I want as big as I can get :sly but the fact remains i have limited access and people to sort it out ect thus the spacers :augie

Whats the biggest mm lift with no other tweaks?

Tnx all

Oh p.s

3" lift will only go up to as high as your shocks will stretch too, 2" seems the average, then throw a body lift on top if you want to go higher? just what i have read on here as i am still planning my lift, 2" as changing my cv boots last year was horrendous and 3" suspension will cause a weak spot? 2" susp 1" body.

Then go 2" max and then balance up the front on the torsion bars.
That'll be about as high as needed and keeps the front end from blowing itself to bits.
Don't forget the 2" spring lift is pointless without extended shocks too :thumbs

There's no spacers for the front? Just a wind up of torsion bar? :nenau

Could have sworn the frontera had 4 spacers and we wound up bar.... Could have been many years of drug abuse too :nenau :lol

And you guys reckon with the spacers only get plus 2" shocks?

So i dont need plus 2" shocks on front? Just wind up ?

And the rear is 2 spacers and 2 plus 2" shocks?

Thanks dude :thumb2

just seen i put 3" :lol i meant 2" yes 2" with +2" shocks and wind torsions up, no spacers on the front

Righteo, i do plan to add more but budget will only allow so much at once you see, and I'm itching for a little bit of fun/look at the same time...

So I'll start with some a/t tyres, spacers and shocks for the rear, and a wind up at the front. How much wind up = 2", i think the frontera guru did like 9 or 10 rotations from a set point???

measure from bottom of wheel rim to top of wheel arch in center, front wants to be about 20mm lower than the back

i thought fronties had independant fronts not torsion bars like terry? cheapest options for lift are the spring spacers on ebay,£25. body lift 1" blocks,£20 ebay, wind up front bars and have a slightly nose down rake but adjust headlights, spend extra £ on tyres, you can go high very cheaply but any higher and your bj's will pay the price from what i have read.

wow, really suprised me! its just 8/10 bolts depending on length, theres a how too on an expensive sellers site but you get the bolts with that kit,£80 difference lol. undo bolts, jack up body, replace standard bolts with longer bolts, pop in blocks, lower body. you will have to "adjust" bumper brackets as these are mounted onto chasis(which will be lower than the body if all went well).
