Well who'll be waving the flag today for our superb armed forces that we have in this country, something to be proud of:clap:clap:clap

Just about to set off to a local day of celebrations in Mirfield West Yorkshire..

A parade of local Royal British Legions, Cadets, Vetrans and vintage military vehicles. Then after a short service move off to a local pub where we have a static display of vintage vehicles, morris dancers, ATC Corp of Drums and a free lunch. Local serving and ex servicemen and women will be welcomed.

We are running all this in aid of Help For Heroes and I've got a stall of H4H goodies to sell.

Well just arrived back from the day out and I'm still buzzing. Did a brisk trade throughout the morning and had lots of donations but have not had time to count up yet. The parade was great and met some contacts from Royal British Legion too. The afternoons event was well attended and enjoyed by all. Even got a nice long ride in a 1942 Dodge WC51, I want one!!!!! The owner said don't even ask how much it costs to fill up and run:lol The 1941 BSA came and was instantly taken over by an old vetran who used to ride one during the war. An old lady came up to me this morning who was a driver during the war and showed off a medal that came for her this morning. Had people thanking us for giving up our time but as I say thanks but we don't need thanking. Another event tonight, a Mess Style Evening so looking forward to that too. I think I'll be at the bank soon as the collection tin is pretty heavy. Lookout H4H another cheque will be on it's way to you.

Jim
