Surprise, surprise when I took out the front anti-roll bar, to replace the rubber bushes with PE ones: 2 different droplinks, with quite perished rubber, one deformed washer and one bush completely missing. Had to cut the nut of one of the droplinks, it was rusted solid.

yep they do like to chew through the drop links and bushes :lol i always double up on the washers it helps them to survive better :lol 6 washers per link, 2 top 2 bottom and 2 in the middle to stop the arm from chewing away the bushes

Definitely a weak part of the Terrano,a few members on here have made better improved drop links..

The one on the left is the correct fitment, as it is slightly cranked, the one on the right, is similar to some that were supplied by Milners, and a few people had trouble fitting them.

The important dimension, is from the centre line of the lower bolt, to the face that connects to the ARB. Those without the crank.. had a bigger distance, and may be a reason why ... when eventually fitted, didn't last that long.:doh

Life for these drop links might only be a couple of years in normal road use, however for serious off road, they won't last long at all, hence the move to rose joints.

Given that I now have some surplus washers (the old ones, the ones that came with the new droplinks and the ones from the PE bush kit) I'll double them up as well.

For installation: concave side towards the bushes, no?

Check one of my recent posts on "custom anti roll bars"

They were made on the forum  :thumbs
