Thousands of people gathered around Australia and New Zealand for Anzac dawn services in remembrance of those who fell in war.
The solemn event commemorates the landing of Australian and New Zealand soldiers at Gallipoli, Turkey, at 4.30am on April 25, 1915, and has gone on to mark the lives of those who have died in subsequent wars.
"We remember the men and women who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy our lives,"
Lest we forget
