Just wondering if anythings in the pipeline this year?

I've just been informed by SWMBO that I'm towing the caravan somewhere north of the border for New Year week. Must buy some more gas ............

Cheers
Andrew

We haven't booked anywhere so far - so I don't know yet. This is the first time we'll have been away from home at New Year and I'm not sure that I'm looking forward to it. We had a couple of weeks away at Easter this year at Cruachan Farm near Killin, on Loch Tay - which was nice as it snowed - shame they aren't open all year.

So, have you Scottish persons booked any snow for Xmas this year?

Cheers
Andrew

I plan to fo out laning over the holiday period but not decided where or when yet. I fancy the peak dstrict but then I also fancy dales can't decide.

Mmmm!! wonder if i can get any time off, what dates are you looking at HB as i would love to do the Dales in the winter!!

I got the whole two weeeeeeeeeks off with nothing planned but sitting on my BFA

I don't know if Bertha is up to Laning anymore but I still like the idea of the easier routes.

Ok guys i'll look at sorting a date out.

Probably meet up at Leeming Bar services and work our way across from there.

Optional routes around any more difficult lanes, I'll be inviting HY 4x4 Response too so between us we should have enough people to run a few groups made up of similar "abilities". Do some similar lanes to last time we were up that way, lunch at the cheese factory in Hawaes or thereabouts.

Maybe try and time it to get to Masham in reasonable time for a pint of sheep before splitting up and setting off home.

How do I know if my truck is still up to it? may be I'm being a little soft with it but it did cost a lot to get it through last MOT. :? :?

PS I like Black Sheep

PPS Just spoken to Sybil and she say's yes

Anything is up to it, I know the lanes we'll be using and I won't send anyone anywhere they are in the remotest danger of coming unstuck and no one will be asked to do anything they are uncomfortable with, there is no shame in turning around and gong round but it won't come to that I promise. Cosmic and Sweety did these lanes as their first ever taste of laning with standard trucks so don't worry all will be ok.

You'll love it jim!!  Just hope i can get the time off to see HB put his new motor round some lanes!
Thinking of going for a run down to Kielder tomorrow for a run along the forest track, praying for snow!

Been laning before but not for a long time so the driving don't bother me too much. It's the frail ol girl sat in my drive, must remind the wife to come in she'll get cold out there -rotfl-
