I was thinking of making up a processing plant for my own use but looking around for information is a nightmare!
dont get me wrong, theres plenty of information out there, but different ways and different receipes.
Can anyone give me a hand here?

Health and safety:
1.Biodiesel production is a potentially dangerous process and should only be undertaken by competent people. It is not suitable for unsupervised children etc.
2.Methanol has explosive vapors and is deadly poisonous. It burns with an invisible flame.
3.Sodium hydroxide/potassium hydroxide/caustic/lye will burn skin. Do not breathe in the dust. Animals will try to eat it as it smells of salt.
4.Concentrated sulphuric acid will burn skin and explode if water is added to it.
5.All these chemicals should be stored properly and kept away from children.
6.Most common serious accident: Processor blows up due to immersion heater being accidently switched on when empty.

thanks briggie!

The old hot water tank jobbie:D
It saves using some of the nasty chemicals , as all you do is turn it upside down and warm the crap oil. That's meant to evaporite the wet and seperate a bit too. You can then decant from the old hot water outlet pipe . Then filter the crud out, bung in a bit of Methanol and boooom you're done :lol

lol yorkshire green fuels £315 for a steel drum a cheap pump lenght of hose n pipe oh and an emersion heater not a bad mark up i priced the lot at under £75 using all new parts or free using old bits laying around the house n garage
