I live literally on the outskirts of the low emission zone (not the ultra low emission zone) which basically covers the whole of Greater London. Currently this means vans below euro 3 and 4x4s older than 2002 have to pay a £100 a day if they drive in the low emission zone. I currently own a 2010 vivaro (euro5) and my 2004 terrano. I have had both for 10 years and have been looked after mechanically.
As of October this year they will toughen the existing restrictions changing to euro 6 which means my van will have to go but can’t find anything to say they will be changing the rules with regards to the age of 4x4 affected.
I really don’t want to lose my van and car as I am on the bones of my arse and could not afford much.
Anyone know of any planned changes with the LEZ and 4x4s.?
Thanks in advance.
