Thank you..:thumb2
Well thay say we are still on their register, so God knows whats going on..:nenau getting about 3 to 5 an hour from all sorts of firms..:doh
You'll probably find that the companies involved are ringing from overseas and have never heard of the Telephone Preference Service. Not a lot you can do about that.
Cheers
Andrew
Looks like thats going to be the way to go, with the change of number, house & mobiles..:dohWell there is to a degree....you'll never get round these bloody random number diallers, but as well as an ex-directory status, BT will, if pressed, provide an 'unlisted' number. That means that when someone calls directory enquiries you won't even be listed to them.
Bad news is you'd need to change your number.....but thats only £15 I think so might be worth considering. You don't need any justification for requesting it.
When you've been married three times you get to know these things...:thumbs
No they aren't malicious calls, just peeps telling I have been on to them to buy everything upto a garden shed, getting the lot windows, doors, reroofing etc, not only on the house phone but our mo's too..Thats what makes me think it's one of our former members..:nenauhope I am wrong here.If you're getting malicious calls, that's something different!
You can get BT to ban the number thats ringing you too. You need to call them right after you've received one though for them to trace it.
Also is your phone a business line, cause there's another service that helps then. The TPS will advise you who they are as I've forgoten. I think you register for a yr at a time so check your status.
Thanks for that, will bell them when we get home at the weekend.:thumb2Just found the other service ,I knew it was here somewhere!:augie
