any tips to remove torsion bar

hi all for the last 2 hours i have been trying to remove my broken torsion bar ive got the front part out but i can not get the back part to come out of the ajuster ive put a full can of wd40 on it and bashed it like a mad man but it will not move at all do any of you have any tips or advice please A.S.AP as i need to get it out and fit the new one before it gets dark

ok so its fixed again all it took was some oxy acetylene a vice and a big hammer to get the old one off had to cut the snapped bar at the ajuster then remove ajuster heat it up get a big hammer and smack the hell out of it :thumb2
 
never seen one as rusty as that, but then all that I have come across have all been well greased, hope you greased yours, Rick
 
I had a transit van not so long ago that was complete mush from the sills down I mean everything was fizzing away :eek:
I looked up the van's history and it had been an airport van running up and down runways etc. The antifreeze they use is apparently unsuitable for car underbellies :(
I sold it PDQ :augie
