Get decent ball joint splitter they can be hard to seperate ive got sykes picavant one like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sykes-Pickava...t=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item255a793a11Looks simple enough, so I'm bound to cock it up or break something important. Any tips before I go skinning my knuckles tomorrow ?
Don't need to save the old parts so I'll be using one like this :

Wouldnt bother taking the split pins out just undo the nuts and they get sheared off. Those joints can be very tight and even with the splitter normally need a tap with your tool as well worst bit is there are 4 of them. The cv joint wouldnt affect the steering especially if your in 2wd.Hope youre feeling better soonThe http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgu...page=1&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0&tx=94&ty=86
Didn't work.
Spent an hour just trying to remove the old split pins, got one out complete, the rest are stuck, snapped, knackered.
Tried to get one track rod end off (using the above) and got nowhere.
I did manage to cut my head open though :hmh, and now I've got the sh*ts, so that's nice.
Also found the left cv joint boot has split nearly all the way round, which might be making the wheel drag and making the car pull to the left. Which is why I was changing the drag link. :doh
Bluddy cars......
