Ants everywhere... aghhh..

Well yesterday I noticed an ant on the window sill in the study, I moved a few things and the Ants went berserk, must have been the vibration, hundreds appeared, some with wings.
I only had some Vapona fly spray... BUT I HAD A VAX TOO :augie
The wife insisted that the Vax camped out last night...

So today off to Wilkinsons and I bought loads of stuff.
One was Raid, an ant kill spray that kills in minutes... and it does.
I also bought ant powder, and some deathlac. :augie

I went outside and looked at the windows, the sealant around the windows must be about 19 years old... :doh I've owned cars longer than this, I still do...:augie lol and it has started to crack, and small holes have appeared, so looking closer, a few ants were coming and going.

I also looked at the kitchen window, same thing, so I sprayed around that too...
BIG BIG MISTAKE... :doh:doh

Hundreds of ants now appeared on the inside window sill too...

So it looks like I have it under control very quickly, so a quick trip around the rest of the house with the spray.... concentrating on windows and doors.
Sorted...
I hope..

So tip.. buy some ant killer ASAP, always keep some in, and track the ants to see where they are going to.

NIPPON,sounds Japanese,its like a gel,put it on a non porous surface.They love it.Oh and it kills them...

You can buy some stuff that you put on a tile or piece of glass and the ants take it back to the nest and it kills them all ,Don't know what it called, can't remember but I think its just a mix of sugar and bicarbonate of soda.
They eat the bicarb along with the sugar and Then They Explode

Found a couple of ants crawling around under the bonnet of the T2 the other day loads in our front garden & have noticed over te last few years a huge increase in the number of ants around here

Most of ours had wings, so ready to swarm, so best to take precautions...

We have had the same problem this year too. Put some ant powder down and seem to have done the trick. Fingers crossed
