Anyone got any good ideas as to replacing the anti slip strip on the Terrano chrome side steps ... mines about gone and i slip and make a fool of myself almost everytime i get in ... :lol

In the marine industry, they sell non slip adhesive backed strips to place on deck, in a variety of colours.
Is this what you are looking for?

Can anyone tell me what these side steps actually do, cos I cannot use them, maybe cos I got long legs, but I think they are useless ornaments, Rick

Some say 'They is gay!!'

Some say 'They is usless!!'

If loading the roof rack I stand on the wheel.. or the roof rack:thumb2.. or the bonnet!!:naughty

Need a rear ladder.. Where's that 20mm conduit, bender and MIG welder:clap

my side steps are essential for me to gain access and disembark from my truck , plus you gotta admit they make ya truck look good

Had some on mine so the wife and kids could get in and out . Took them off as I kept grounding out with them.

i use the side steps a lot ... most weekends i load 2 large 14ft fishing kayaks on roof and have to stands on steps to fit 4 straps ... but i usually slip off if its wet due to the grip strips being worn away .. :doh

For show I think. I always stand on the rear tyre to fit and load my roof box, but with wet boots (and tyres) you can slip off , as I have found in my own painful way.

I remember seeing a step thing once that you could hook over the tyre, but I can't seem to find it online now?
