Arghhhhhhhhhhhh

Well the roll bar is off and tempted to leave it off for mot. Replaced both links and the d bushes last year, fitted a set of polly bushes as I had them. Now I was blaming the bodgit garage for the rubber boots being ripped but no I think it’s something else. They are really mashed up and the bottom washer inside the lower arm is basically turned inside out. The actual ball and socket inside is loose too. Done less than 10k miles.
I have noticed the replacements are not one long straight bar from the nut through the bushes to the ball and socket joint like the old ones but instead above the bushes they are stepped about 3/8 inch. Wonder if they need this slightly off centre arrangement.

You have lost me here.. what is offset? The antiroll bar links don't normally have an offset.

This may sound silly, and I am ashamed to admit I do have first hand knowledge of this, but did you fit the antiroll bar back upside down?

That’s a good point anyone post a photo of their front anti roll bar. Pretty certain it’s correct as me n tdoug checked it against the other truck. If I get time after work I’ll post photos of the offset links and old ones.

Here’s a photo showing the old and new anti roll bar links. If I remember rightly Rustic mentioned this off set when we once had a thread going about these things.

As for your photos I can’t quite work out if the bends on the roll bar should be facing downwards which is the way both my trucks are.

Cheers

it's hard to get a good photo, just having a look to see if I have anything better...

Basically, the end of the bar should be parallel to the ground, not dropping down hill onto the link.

Yes it does thanks, it’s confirmed mine are all the correct way up or down :lol

So tomorrow morning is doctors appointment at 8, all being well straight to the local motor factors for disks n pads. Back home and whip that bar back on.

Just looked at that picture of Suz's front suspension, and an old picture of mine, and both the link bars do have a similar offset to your picture.
