Anti Roll Bar Link Bottom Nut

Hi guys, my next problem lol.

Replaced the LH front (passenger side) ARB Link, problem is I can't get to the nut on the bottom. The link is leaning over to the right which is forcing the nut over towards to the wheel so I can't get a socket on to it through the hole in the lower arm.

Hoping not to have to slacken the top nut as my son has just glued the bump stop back on.

Tried jacking drivers side up under the chassis, tried jacking the drivers side anti roll bar but still not leaning back to allow me to get a socket on.

Easier way is to get in from below with a heavy screwdriver and lever it to where you need it. If the bushes are shot, chances are that's what's causing it to be skewed. You can centre it easily enough this way :thumb2

Some drop links were made that didn't have enough off set, or crank on them.
When fitted correctly with the correct drop link, the links should sit nice and vertical.

So you might have a vehicle fitted with them.
There was a thread on here somewhere ... a couple of years ago I think...:nenau
Milner even sold some if I recall...

Problem is that they are new ones bought from Milners and I've fitted the first one with polly bushes that I have in the garage, yet to start on the driverside.

It's gonna be a royal pain in the arse but unless the jacking thing works second time around I'm going to have to slacken the top right off to allow the link to reduce its lean.

I find the easiest way to do them is to drop the ARB complete, it makes it far easier to get the links off of the bar and as long as the motor is on level ground it all drops back together without strain or problems, Rick
