Hi again.
Ray can you tell me if the OB2 socket ine the Terrano has the same wire connections as in a Patrol of the same year with the same engine ?
I have a company that can supply me with a chip device to do exactly what I need doing to my engine.
This chip is programed for a 3.0 Patrol, and I am wanting to install it in a 3.0 Terrano.
Just wondering how similar the software is between the zd30 engine applications ?

Ray will know this in his sleep but I can imagine that the plug would be identical and so would the pinouts

I believe you can use ODB2 and the Consult protocol with your year

The Terrano & Patrol ZD30 diagnostic connectors should be exactly the same.
The only variation I am aware of on both post 2004 Terrano & Patrol, is with regard to EOBD/Consult II support. If pin 7 is fitted on the socket then basic EOBD & Consult II is available, if not, then it will only work with Consult 1 protocol.
So I'd check with the supplier what connectivity their device requires...
