angle of tyres

Hi folks, just a quick question, I had my 2 ball joints the upper and lower replaced today at my local garage but now the drivers side wheel sits out from the body at the top and the passenger side one is slightly the same and from the front the Terrano looks like a V with both tyres pointing out at the top. I am not sure whether its down to the ball joints are whether its down to my suspension lift from calmini and there replacement HD control arms I am really confused and no garage over here wants to help.Any ideas would be muchly appreciated

I thought the new top control arms were meant to be shorter to combat this problem when lifted over 2”.

IIRC you said that LA supercrooks reset your suspension geometry after the lift. If they did and did it with worn ball joints it will now be out with the new joints. But TBH manufacturing tolerances aren't always perfect on these things nor are the way they bolt down so its kind of inevitable.

If you can get a 4 wheel alignment read out done the workshop manual lets you work out how much you'll need to shim the suspension by and you should be able to do that yourself. Other wise if none of the norml garage will touch it look for someone dealing with motorsport stuff, rallyings big over there there must be someone local to you, should be pretty run of the mill for thos boys though their hourly rate may be a bit higher, but as you're used to daling with LA that shouldn't be too much of an issue. :lol:

Thanks for the replies, it turns out that LA Supercrooks decided not to fit the new upper ball joints that came with the Calmini kit and instead kept the old ones in. The ball joints are slightly different than the ordinary stock ones and now my Terrano has to sit in the drive way untill I get the propper ball joints sent out from the US. This sucks as I am finding it hard to get lifts to the fire station all the time, so LA Supercrooks strike again. I am really raging with these people as I am stranded without the Terrano.
