Thought you already knew that:lol
I read that as 39 degrees ? "Gradeability" :augie
48 would be flippin awesome :sly
If you read the text though, second to last paragraph of the "4X4 OFF ROAD MANOEUVRABILITY AND TOWING ABILITY" it says...I read that as 39 degrees ? "Gradeability" :augie

If you read the text though, second to last paragraph of the "4X4 OFF ROAD MANOEUVRABILITY AND TOWING ABILITY" it says...
"It can traverse a slope up to a lean angle of 48o - however the nerve of all but the most experienced off-road drivers would surely run out long before a Terrano leaned this far over. The van has a 270 maximum 'ramp over' angle (the maximum sharpness of a ridge or ramp that a vehicle can negotiate without the underside grounding)."
There are a few other sites that also state the same figure.
When I went on my 4x4 learning course, we took the car round this flooded bend, using the bank to pass a tree.... I would have sworn the car was about to fall over, and was grateful that it would just lean against the tree. Half way round the instructor asked us how far we thought we were leaning, as we had already been told the car had a maximum angle of 45degrees, and we were struggling to stay in our seats. Everyone thought we were at that angle, and maybe even pushing it beyond.
After my turn was over, I got to watch the other people do it... I was so disappointed, the car was barely making 25degrees.... Not sure I would have the nerve to take it to 30, let alone 48!!!
That link I put up I think was at 39 degrees, needless to say I was a bit worried, the terrano was actually sitting on the edge of the tyre. I've had a few scary moments, one is a lane I have done many times, after the body lift this became a lot more scary, and the other is the one with Elty end Steve when I chewed my wing up :lol
