Has any one got a knackered alternator they would be willing to share? Needs to be the one without the vacuum pump on the back.

sent from my phone, sorry for any typo's.

Thanks... it's all fallen through, I found a company that could in theory upgrade my alternator to a higher output, but then when they looked further into it, no one makes a compatible higher output version of the T2 alternator, and if they re-wound it from scratch, it would not only cost a bomb, but in their words "be a bit on the delicate side".

I really can not believe, with all the alternators out there, and having the advantage of not needing the pump on the back, that there is not an easy swap somewhere.

I have read the thread, and even asked for a status update, but you used some lame excuse about it being lower on your list of priorities, just because you used your brakes to stop a lorry...:augie:D

I got the impression you were erring on the side of putting a second alternator on, in place of the "gay" aircon.. which is staying on my Gay sidestepped car...:lol

The other problem I had, was I did not know what a QD32TD was/is... is that an engine, or car/truck?
